Dear Cuno,

Your letter of the 8th and the minutes! received, many thanks for both.

The *Bulletin Jurassien*, which you will have received, and the *Internationale* from Brussels, which goes off today, will prove to you that it is time to get serious, and that it is absolutely necessary that Sorge at least casts aside all misgivings and accepts election 8) so that not only unity of action, but above all action itself, is assured. Unless energetic steps are taken and the suspension of the Jurassiens on account of their congress resolutions!! which trample the Rules and the Hague resolutions underfoot, as well as the expulsion of those members of the anti-authoritarian congress!** who belong to the International at all, are at once proclaimed and substantiated, the gentlemen will become altogether too cocky. There is still time; the Belgians have taken fright at their own initial courage and become irresolute; in Spain the opposition to the Alliance people is growing stronger every day, there are already demands for an extraordinary Spanish congress to examine the conduct of the Federal Council and the delegates at the Hague, but all this will cool off again if the insolent conduct of the Jurassiens is tolerated; and that these people are doing their utmost, you can see from Hales’s letter in the *Internationale* 58; Hales is the correspondent of the Jurassiens and distributes their *Bulletin*, with its swinish articles, here gratis to anyone who wants it, and sends it to all sections.

I must close. The post is leaving. M[arx] and I are overloaded with congress and printing work!?””! and with correspondence as never before.

Sorge will have received the *Emancipación*, you can translate it for him.¹ Next steamer? brings a few more numbers. Next to the *Volksstaat*, it is our best paper.

The business with West has amused us royally.

We all send our warm greetings to Sorge and you.
