Friedrich Engels to Karl Marx

I 19 Dec 1860
Dear Moor,

Enclosed the £2 for Camden Town.

The more I read of the book the harder it is for me to see how Vogt is going to wriggle out of these “never to be published” histories. 41 copies in London in these few days is a very great many; it will already be more by now. It is certainly the best polemical pamphlet you have yet written; it is simpler in style than the Bonaparte, and yet, where necessary, just as effective.

Yours,
F. E.
