Your note 305 arrived so late that, even with the best will in the world, it would have been difficult to get you a ticket for today’s ball. Since moreover you have failed, even though accepted by the society as a member, either to take out your card or to attend any of the meetings, and since the society is very strict about this, I am afraid that it would have been quite impossible to get you in. I am very sorry about this, but I really don’t see what could have been done.
