London, 14 June 1873

Citizens,

I have still to answer your two letters of 11 April and 14 May. As already communicated, I sent the whole sum for Lodi (200 francs) on 10 April to Bignami, whose receipt is in my possession. About 10 days ago the *Plebe* reappeared and carried your address to the Spaniards and also, in a very prominent place, your declaration concerning the self-exclusion of the secessionists from our Association.

The documents in question have been sent to the Spanish Federal Council.

My copy of the amendments to the Rules, as they were prepared for the old G[eneral] C[ouncil], has disappeared; another copy has, however, been promised to me, which will be forwarded as soon as it has arrived.

As the *Plebe* is alive again, I shall, in my first correspondence for that paper, report on the Italian emigration and the gasworkers' strike, etc. I could not do this earlier, as my sole correspondent, Bignami, was not to be reached and had given me no other address.

Le Moussu has been reminded of the marks.

The £4 3d. have been received and will be used and dispatched as soon as a safe address in Paris can be found.

With fraternal greetings,

Yours,
F. Engels
