Dear Mohr,

Enclosed the Wilhelm & Bebel returned, and also a draft on the Union Bank of London for £100, with which, I hope, the debts are done away with forever. Since, as Tussy tells me, Jenny has September and October free as well, you can indeed postpone your trip into this month. I always thought you were restricted, on account of Jenny, to only four weeks during which you had to travel. The scandal between Schweitzer and the Leipzigers is getting nice. The accusation of bribery by the Guelph against Bebel, and the threat of the Schweitzerites to force victory at the Congress by brute force, give reason to expect some pretty things. What stupidity on Wilhelm’s part, to let Gögg co-sign his congress summons and thus expose himself to the attack of the *Sozial-Demokrat*. But Wilhelm simply cannot get along without his petty-bourgeois republicans. My documents are now to be signed a week from today, if the lawyers are ready. So in no case can I get away before Wednesday the 11th inst. On my way there or back I shall see you in London in any case. Best greetings to all. Your F. E. I have also looked in vain thus far for the advertisement of the *Eighteenth Brumaire*.
