in London!

Manchester, 7, Southgate,
25 January 1869

Dear Mohr,

Only in great haste the announcement that we are all finally on our feet again and that Gumpert, fortunately, had sounded a false alarm with the scarlet fever. Today I must carefully go through the draft contract with G. E[rmen], which I have just received, so that the matter may be settled as quickly as possible; hence only these few lines today. As soon as my way is clear and everything is so far advanced that no failure is to be feared, I shall come to London for a few days.

Best regards to you all.

Yours,
F.E.

Since Jenny is coughing, you have surely cancelled the arrangement about giving lessons at once?
