Engels to Marx in London¹
Manchester, 7, Southgate,
25 Jan. 1869

Dear Mohr,

In great haste just the announcement that we are all on our legs again at last and that Gumpert, fortunately, had raised a false alarm with the scarlet fever. Today I have to go through thoroughly the draft contract with G. Ermen, which I have just received, so that the matter may be settled as quickly as possible; hence only these few lines today. As soon as I can see my way clearly and everything is so far advanced that no failure need be feared any longer, I shall come to London for a few days.

Best greetings to all of you.

Yours,
F. E.

Since Jenny has been coughing, you have surely put an end to the teaching arrangement at once?²
