Letter to Adam, Barthelemy and Vidil

Karl Marx/Friedrich Engels

[Letter to Adam, Barthélemy and Vidil]

From the manuscript. Translated from the English.

To Messrs Adam, Barthélemy and Vidil

Gentlemen,

We have the honour to inform you that we have long considered the Association you speak of to be de facto dissolved. The only thing that remains to be done is the destruction of the original agreement. Perhaps Messrs Adam or Vidil will be so good as to call next Sunday, October 13, at midday, at Mr Engels’, 6 Macclesfield Street, Soho, in order to witness the burning of the original agreement.

We have the honour, gentlemen, to remain your most obedient servants,

Engels Marx Harney
