The Public Prosecutor's Office in Berlin and in Cologne

["Neue Rheinische Zeitung" No. 149, 22 November 1848]

*Cologne*, 21 November. In Berlin the public prosecutor's office lays down its arms before a traitor. The first public prosecutor, Herr Sethe, instead of complying with the summons of the National Assembly to do his duty against the traitor Brandenburg — resigns.

The Rhenish District Committee of the Democrats, which is endeavouring to give the legal resolution of the National Assembly the widest possible dissemination, and which calls for foiling the plans of a traitor (see “No More Taxes!!!”), is being prosecuted by the Cologne public prosecutor for — rebellion (?!).
