to No. 143 of the Neue Rheinische Zeitung.
Wednesday, 15 November.
The Ministry has been placed in a state of accusation.
The city of Brandenburg will have nothing to do with the Brandenburg Ministry and is sending an address of thanks to the National Assembly.
In their addresses the entire country recognises only the government of the National Assembly.
The Ministry commits fresh high treason by proclaiming, contrary to the Habeas Corpus Act and without the consent of the National Assembly, a state of siege and by driving the National Assembly itself out of the Schützenhaus at the point of the bayonet.
The National Assembly has its seat in the people, not within the compass of this or that heap of stones. If it is driven out of Berlin, it will sit in another place, in Breslau, Cologne or wherever it sees fit. It adopted this resolution at its sitting of the 13th inst.
The Berliners mock the state of siege and will not allow it to restrict them in any way. No one is handing over arms.
From various parts armed men have hurried to the aid of the National Assembly.
The guards are refusing obedience. The soldiers are fraternising increasingly with the people.

Silesia and Thuringia are in full insurrection.
But we, citizens, call to you: Send money to the democratic central committee in Berlin. In return, pay no taxes to the counter-revolutionary government. The National Assembly has declared that the refusal to pay taxes is legally well-founded. It has not yet resolved to do so out of consideration for the officials. The starvation cure will teach these officials the power of the citizen, and make them into good citizens themselves.
Starve the enemy out and refuse the taxes! Nothing is more foolish than to offer the means of fighting the nation to a government guilty of high treason, and the means of all means is – money.
The fatherland in danger.
Today, Wednesday, 15 November, at half past twelve noon.
