November 20, 1973

[1] Luo Ruiqing wrote to Mao Zedong on November 15, 1973, saying, "I am now sick all over
and my legs are disabled. I beg the Chairman and the Party to release me from my
imprisonment and grant me a certain degree of freedom." Shortly after Mao Zedong's
