I have read the self-criticisms of Comrades Huang Yongsheng, Qiu Huizuo, and Li Zuopeng. I
think they are all well written. From now on, it will be a question of putting these statements
into practice.

[1] Huang Yongsheng, then a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee,
head of the Central Military Commission’s office group, and chief of the General Staff of the
People’s Liberation Army. Qiu Huizuo, then a member of the CPC Central Committee, a
member of the Central Military Commission’s office group, deputy chief of the General Staff
of the People’s Liberation Army and director of the General Logistics Department. Li
Zuopeng, then a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, a member of
the Central Military Commission’s office group, deputy chief of the General Staff of the
People’s Liberation Army and political commissar of the Navy. During the Cultural
Revolution, they actively participated in the conspiracy of the Lin Biao counter-revolutionary
group to usurp the party and launch a coup. In August 1978, the CPC Central Committee
decided to expel them from the party forever and cancel all their duties inside and outside
the party. In January 1991, the Special Tribunal of the Supreme People’s Court of the
People’s Republic of China confirmed them as the main culprits of the Lin Biao counterrevolutionary group case and sentenced them to 18, 16 and 17 years in prison respectively,
and deprived them of their political rights for 5 years.
