Chairman Mao Zedong's Directive on the "Request for Instructions Regarding the Visit to China of Comrade Hill, Chairman of the Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist)" (June 28, 1968)
[Ted Hill was the founder and Chairman of the Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist). The party was founded on March 15, 1964. Due to the Sino-Soviet split, the party accepted the leadership of the CCP from its creation. Its ideology is communism, Marxism-Leninism, anti-revisionism, and left-wing nationalism, and it reveres Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao Zedong, and its founder Ted Hill for its theoretical guidance. Its political position is far-left. It publishes the newspaper "Vanguard". Its slogan is "For an Independent Australia and for Socialism". In June 1968, Hill made a request, hoping to visit China in September or November of the same year. Kang Sheng wrote on the request from the International Liaison Department: "This autumn and winter, we will probably have much work to arrange, it is suggested to ask Hill to come next spring, what do you think." Chairman Mao underlined the words "hoping in September or November of this year" in the request report and made the following directive. The time the request from the International Liaison Department was submitted by Kang Sheng to Chairman Mao was June 28, 1968.]
