Instruction Concerning Armed Struggle
(August 1967)

Do not be too tense about armed struggle, do not view the situation as too serious, and do not be impatient. Wherever there is armed struggle, there are inevitably backers behind the scenes. Let them put on more of a show; the more they perform, the more isolated they will become, allowing the masses to see more clearly. Once the masses isolate them, the problem will be easier to solve. Chaos is temporary and can be transformed into something good. Fighting is a side issue, a temporary side issue. The main direction of the struggle must never be diverted.
