and to Comrade Georgi Traykov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Assembly of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria:

On the occasion of the twenty-first anniversary of the socialist revolution in Bulgaria, we extend our warmest congratulations to you and to the fraternal people of Bulgaria.

The friendship between the peoples of China and Bulgaria is rooted in a profound foundation. Upholding and strengthening this friendship accords with the common aspirations of our two peoples. The Chinese people will, as always, continue to strive, on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism, to reinforce the friendship and solidarity between the Chinese and Bulgarian peoples. We wish the Bulgarian people new successes in their cause of building socialism, and we hope that the friendship between the Chinese and Bulgarian peoples will be further consolidated and developed.
