Refers to Luo Ruiqing’s request letter of July 25, 1965. The letter stated: At the Vietnamese side’s request, two anti-aircraft artillery divisions of the Chinese aid-to-Vietnam forces were planned to move into Vietnamese territory from two different directions starting on August 1. Additionally, in order to strengthen the air defense capabilities along the northern railway line in North Vietnam and to provide practical training for the troops, a PLAA 57th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment was deployed to the northern line.
