On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the signing of the Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship, Alliance, and Mutual Assistance, on behalf of the Chinese people, the Communist Party of China, and the Chinese government, we extend our warmest congratulations to the Soviet people, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and the Soviet government.


The Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship, Alliance, and Mutual Assistance was concluded in line with the traditional revolutionary friendship between the peoples of China and the Soviet Union and their shared aspiration to unite against common enemies. This treaty serves the fundamental interests of the peoples of both China and the Soviet Union, as well as those of all countries in the socialist camp and people around the world. The consolidation and strengthening of the great Sino-Soviet alliance is conducive to opposing our common enemy—the U.S. imperialism—ensuring the mutual security of our two countries, safeguarding world peace, and advancing the common cause of human progress.


U.S. imperialism is pursuing its policy of aggression and war throughout the globe, particularly intensifying its efforts to militarize Japan and West Germany, aiming to turn them into launching pads and nuclear bases for a new world war in Asia and Europe. Currently, U.S. imperialism is brazenly embarking on an adventurous course of armed aggression against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and further escalation of the Indochina War. The American bandit leaders bombing the Vietnamese people are loudly calling for an expansion of the war. This is not only a threat to Vietnam…
