This material, provided by the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, was published in the thirty-fourth special issue of “League Situation,” compiled and printed by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League on October 16, 1964. It is a summary of an autobiographical account by Huang Guiyu, a high school graduate and member of the Communist Youth League from the Affiliated Middle School of Nanjing Normal College. The account reflects her resolve to work in agriculture; in order to participate in agricultural production, join the ranks of the working people, and forge herself into a revolutionary successor, she engaged in a fierce struggle with her family and ultimately emerged victorious, eventually going to Maba Commune in Yuping County, Jiangsu Province, to work as an educated youth.
