**Revisions to the Draft of "On Khrushchev’s Phony Communism and Its Historical Lessons for the World"**
(July 1964)

In the realm of political ideology, the struggle between socialism and capitalism over which will prevail will take a very long time to resolve. A few decades will not do; success requires a period of one hundred to several hundred years. On the question of time, rather than prepare for a shorter period, it is better to prepare for a longer one; on the question of work, rather than view it as easy, it is better to view it as difficult. To think and act in this way is more beneficial and less harmful.
