Two Paragraphs Written on March 17
(17 March 1964)

This article intends to discuss a question with which everyone is familiar and which is very famous, namely, the question of the so-called "peaceful transition." The reason this question has become famous and has drawn everyone’s attention is that Khrushchev [2] raised it at the Twentieth Congress of the CPSU, systematized it in the form of a programme at the Twenty-Second Congress of the CPSU, and, with his revisionist viewpoint, opposed the Marxist-Leninist viewpoint. The open letter of the Central Committee of the CPSU of 14 July 1963 once again harps on this same old tune.

For this reason, we want to write this article to answer the revisionists in language clearer than before.

Paragraph I of this piece was written at the beginning of the foreword section of the draft submitted for review; Paragraph II of this piece was written at the end of the foreword section of the draft submitted for review.
