Revisions to the Draft of the Seventh Comment on the Open Letter of the Central Committee of the CPSU [1]
(January 28, 1964)

The revisionism and splittism of the Soviet Communist Party leadership are the product of the rampant and growing bourgeois factors within the country, and also the product of imperialist policies, especially the nuclear blackmail policy and the "peaceful evolution" policy of US imperialism.

Marxism-Leninism is science, and science is not afraid of debate. Those who are afraid of debate are not scientific.

What is printed in Song typeface in this article is what Mao Zedong added when reviewing the draft of the Seventh Comment on the Open Letter of the Central Committee of the CPSU (January 28 draft) on January 28, 1964. The second addition in this article was added before the following paragraph in the Seventh Comment on the Open Letter of the Central Committee of the CPSU (January 28 draft): "The current great debate in the international communist movement is prompting communists, revolutionaries, and revolutionary people in all countries of the world to use their brains and think about problems, prompting them to seriously consider the problems of revolution in their own countries and the problems of world revolution based on the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism. Through this great debate, people will eventually be able to distinguish right from wrong and distinguish between true Marxism-Leninism and false Marxism-Leninism. Marxism-Leninism will inevitably be further enriched and developed, reaching a new peak." The Seventh Comment on the Open Letter of the Central Committee of the CPSU, titled "The Soviet Communist Party Leadership is the Greatest Splittist of Our Time," was published in the joint issue of the February 4, 1964, *People's Daily* and the second and third issues of the 1964 *Red Flag* magazine.

Down with US Imperialism! Down with Soviet Revisionism!
