On this small globe,
a few flies are bumping into walls.
Humming,
a few shrill sounds,
a few sobs.
Ants climb a locust tree, boasting of a great kingdom,
but for mayflies to shake a tree is no easy talk.
Just as the west wind sheds leaves over Chang'an,
whistling arrows fly.

So many deeds,
have always been urgent;
heaven and earth revolve, time presses on.
Ten thousand years is too long,
seize the day, seize the hour.
The four seas are roiling, clouds and water raging,
the five continents are shaking, wind and thunder roaring.
We must sweep away all pests,
be completely invincible.

[Explanatory Note]
After the 22nd Congress of the CPSU in 1962, the contradictions between the CPSU and the CPC intensified. During the Sino-Indian border conflict, it militarily supported India. From November of that year, Khrushchev of the CPSU directed five European parties to besiege the CPC. The CPC published the famous "Nine Commentaries," openly breaking with the Soviet Union. In 1964, when China detonated its first atomic bomb, Khrushchev also happened to step down.
