Vigorous promotion of contracting output to the household. This is linked to his consistent reluctance to engage in cooperatives before the summer conference of 1955; to his ordering the dissolution of hundreds of thousands of cooperatives that had already been established, without the slightest sense of regret; and before that, to his strenuous advocacy of the Four Great Freedoms, the so-called "fondness for dispensing petty favors, speaking without touching upon righteousness." We welcome the statement made by Comrade Zihui at the core group meeting on August 11, 1962. He said that in recent days he has come to realize that his own view favoring individual farming is incorrect, and this is to be welcomed. However, it is insufficient that he did not connect this with the fact that from 1950 to 1955 he himself still stood on the standpoint of a bourgeois democrat, and thus committed the error of opposing the establishment of a socialist collective agricultural economy (at that time, in the cities, he advocated relying on the bourgeoisie, not the proletariat). Therefore, I pointed this out to him at that meeting.
