Comments on Tao Zhu's Letter Submitting Two Documents

Comrade Wang Dongxing:

I have read these two documents. Please inform Comrade Tao Zhu that they can be immediately sent to the Central Committee by telegram for discussion and instructions.

[1] In his letter to Mao Zedong on the night of June 24, 1962, Tao Zhu, First Secretary of the Central-South Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, stated: "The meeting was extended by two days and did not conclude until midnight tonight. I plan to return to Guangzhou tomorrow morning. I hereby submit the two documents from the meeting (the summary on war preparedness issues and the request for instructions on improving the exchange of industrial and agricultural commodities and reducing the burdens on production teams). Please review and give instructions!"

[2] Wang Dongxing was then Director of the Guard Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee.
