Revisions and comments on the Xinhua News Agency draft dispatch concerning the Chiang Kai-shek army's preparations to invade our coastal areas[1]
(June 11, 12, and 18, 1962)
Most of the Chiang bandit soldiers are forced to come and throw their lives away, but there is also a portion of counter-revolutionary diehards who intend to come to the mainland and fight desperately, or to plunder the coastal areas of the mainland, hoping to make a fortune. Because Taiwan has a small population and insufficient troops, the bandit gang leaders want to seize a batch of young adults from various coastal areas of the mainland to replenish their forces. Therefore, the army and people of the entire nation, especially those in the southeastern coastal provinces and their in-depth areas, must heighten their vigilance and make full preparations in all respects
so as to be ready at any time to meet the invasion by the Chiang bandit gang.
