Over the past year, under the leadership of the Polish United Workers’ Party and the Government of the Polish People’s Republic, the Polish people have achieved new successes in the cause of socialist construction.
At present, they are striving with full confidence to fulfill the Second Five-Year Plan.
During this same period, the Polish people and their government have also made positive contributions to opposing the war and aggressive policies of U.S.-led imperialism, to supporting the liberation movements of oppressed nations, and to safeguarding security in Europe and peace throughout the world.
The Chinese people are sincerely delighted by all these achievements of the Polish people.
The unbreakable fraternal friendship and solidarity between the peoples of China and Poland are founded upon the principles of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism.
We are firmly convinced that, on the basis of the Declaration adopted at the Moscow Meeting in 1957〔1〕 and the Statement adopted at the Moscow Meeting in 1960〔2〕, this friendship and solidarity will be further consolidated and developed, thereby making new contributions to the continued strengthening of the great unity of the socialist camp and to the noble cause of maintaining world peace.
We wish the Polish people new successes in their struggle for socialist construction and for the preservation of world peace.
May the fraternal friendship between the peoples of China and Poland endure forever!
