Instructions to Lin Biao[1]
(May 7, 1961)

Comrade Xu Yefu[2]:
Please inform Comrade Lin Biao by telephone: I have received both of his letters sent to me in April and May. His seven-day visit to Yangcun in May to go down to the company level and conduct investigations was extremely useful, and the issues he raised are all beneficial. In ten days, when I return to Beijing, I will seek him out for a long talk (two hours). Please tell him to take good care of his health. This is of the utmost importance, of the utmost importance.
