Regarding the commentaries on various articles similar to those in this book, both earlier and later, as well as the congratulatory telegrams for several major campaigns, please consult with Qiaomu[3] to see whether there are any further items that can be included. Collect them and inform me.

[1] Tian Jiaying, then deputy director of the Political Research Office of the CPC Central Committee and secretary to Mao Zedong, was participating in the editing of Volume IV of the *Selected Works of Mao Zedong*. This letter was written by Mao Zedong while reviewing and editing Volume IV of the *Selected Works of Mao Zedong*.

[2] Refers to the book *Carry the Revolution Through to the End*, published by the Liberation Press in July 1949. The book contains editorials and commentaries written by Mao Zedong for the Xinhua News Agency, congratulatory telegrams drafted for the CPC Central Committee, and statements by the spokesperson of the Central Committee, etc. Several of these pieces were designated by Mao Zedong for inclusion in Volume IV of the *Selected Works of Mao Zedong*.

[3] Qiaomu, namely Hu Qiaomu, then alternate secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and secretary to Mao Zedong, was participating in the editing of Volume IV of the *Selected Works of Mao Zedong*.
