Refers to a report sent by the Chinese Embassy in the Soviet Union to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 9, 1959. The report stated that on October 9, the Soviet newspapers *Pravda* and *Izvestia* published a summary of Premier Zhou's article "The Great Decade." The details of the summary publication were as follows: (1) The section on the changes in our country over the past ten years was excerpted in relatively detailed fashion. (2) The content discussing the reasons for the rapid development our country has achieved over the past ten years, our Party's correct implementation of the Marxist-Leninist theory of uninterrupted revolution and the theory of revolutionary stages, adherence to the mass line work method, elaboration of our Party's general line, walking on two legs, the people's communes, and the criticism of Right opportunist elements was excerpted in a very simplified manner. (3) The final part of the article, which discusses the favorable international conditions for our country, supports Khrushchev's visit to the United States, and expresses gratitude for Soviet assistance, was excerpted in great detail. (4) There were also some errors in the translation of figures and text in the excerpts.
