(1) This rectification movement has two characteristics: first, the main target is concentrated on responsible cadres and those who act as masters in Party organizations at all levels who harbor right-leaning thinking; second, the movement is broad in scope, involving almost every Party member and cadre. (2) This rectification movement is a movement in which every Party member and cadre must pass the test of socialism and undergo a political and ideological re-ranking. Therefore, the movement must be carried through to the end, with all work taking the rectification movement as the key link, so as to achieve a double victory in both the rectification movement and the movement to increase production and practice economy. (3) The gains of this movement are:
1. Everyone’s political consciousness has been raised. Many issues that were previously considered not very important are now understood by being elevated to the level of the principle of the two roads.
2. In the course of laying hearts bare and conducting criticism, serious mistakes in individual units have been exposed.
(4) A preliminary analysis has been made of the key targets of criticism. Their common characteristics are: they lacked ideological preparation for the socialist revolution, failed to establish a proletarian world outlook, and vainly attempted to transform the Party with a bourgeois world outlook. There is also a section of people who are basically good comrades, but due to insufficient ideological preparation for the socialist revolution, they were not firm enough amid great storms and waves. (5) The results of the anti-rightist rectification are immediate. Not only has the ideological consciousness of the Party members and cadres participating in the rectification been raised, but the excellent situation in economic construction has also been advancing step by step.
