Letter to Zhong Xuekun [1]
(December 29, 1959)

Comrade Xuekun:

Letter 121 received, thank you. Jiupai, the nine major rivers of the three provinces of Xiang, E, and Gan. As to which nine rivers they are, opinions vary, no need to delve deeply. Sanwu, in ancient times Suzhou was called Dongwu, Changzhou, was called Zhongwu, and Huzhou was called Xiwu. I am very well, thank you for your concern. How are your work and study? Devote yourself to work, study in your spare time, truly delve into it, learn some real knowledge and practical skills, and serve the people, this is my earnest hope!
