[1] Lin Ke, then serving as a secretary in Mao Zedong's office.
[2] Refers to three documents excerpted in Issue No. 174 of *Situation Briefs*, compiled and printed by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on November 19, 1959. Among them, the article "The Struggle Against the Right Deviation in Central State Organs Deepens Daily" states that the anti-Right deviation movement in central state organs is developing into an in-depth stage, specifically manifested in: 1. The masses have been mobilized more extensively and deeply. 2. The number of key targets for criticism has increased, and the criticism has become more penetrating and meticulous. 3. Units where the leading core is sound, strong, or has been improved account for 80% to 90%. At present, within the central state organs, there still exist backward units and backward aspects, primarily due to the existence of Right deviation in the leadership, which dares not or is unwilling to boldly mobilize the masses, replacing deep-going and painstaking ideological work with simplistic and crude methods. To this end, the Party Committee of the Central State Organs proposes: 1. Must continue to boldly mobilize the masses and fully utilize big-character posters to carry out the struggle. 2. Criticism of key targets must be conducted in a planned, step-by-step, penetrating, and meticulous manner. 3. Leadership must be strengthened. 4. The movement must have a beginning and an end; "half-cooked rice" must not be served. The article "Developments in the Rectification of Rural Communes in Thirteen Provinces" introduces the situation of pilot commune rectification work in 13 provinces including Hebei, pointing out that in places where rectification has begun, it has generally won the support of the poor and lower-middle peasants. The article "Rural Public Canteens Are Being Restored and Developed Very Rapidly" points out that, according to materials from 12 provinces and regions, in the last two or three months, rural public canteens have been restored and developed very rapidly, and year-round canteens have also seen significant growth. At present, while actively restoring and developing canteens, various localities have begun to vigorously grasp the work of consolidating the canteens.
