Critique on the Summary of the Article
"On the Prospects for the Development of Collective Farm Ownership" [1]
(September 6, 1959)

Comrade Chen Boda[2] to read, return to Mao.

This person does not study the thought of Marx, Engels, or Lenin at all, and even denies Stalin's view that the commune is necessarily the higher form of the collective farm. In short, the author believes that the commune is harmful and useless at any time.

[1] Refers to the summary of the article "On the Prospects for the Development of Collective Farm Ownership" by Soviet Master of Economics Y. Glotov, submitted by the Chinese Embassy in the Soviet Union on September 3, 1959, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee. The original article was published in *Sovetskaya Rossiya* on September 2, 1959. The article mentions the commune at the end, arguing that "consolidating collective farm ownership and raising its level of socialization with the help of the socialist state does not mean turning the agricultural artel into a commune," and "under communism, the commune, as a collective of owners of certain property, is also impossible, because by then all social wealth will be the property of the whole people."
