Directive on Foreign Comrades Serving the General Line and the Great Leap Forward
(4 September 1959)

This document is to be issued to all relevant departments and comrades.

We must unite with all Soviet expert comrades and other foreign expert comrades, join them in opposing Right deviation, rousing干劲 (vigour), and striving to overfulfil the tasks. Even if a small number of people disagree with us for a period, we should earnestly persuade them. In short, in accordance with the successive directives of the Central Committee, we must earnestly unite with all foreign comrades working in China, and serve the General Line and the Great Leap Forward.
