Refers to the second report submitted by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China on August 14, 1959, to the Central Committee and Mao Zedong regarding the waterlogging disaster in the Beijing suburbs and the relief efforts. The report stated that after the torrential rain on August 6, another heavy rain fell in the Beijing area on August 13, causing severe damage to vegetable fields in the suburbs. In recent days, the volume of vegetables coming to market has been decreasing daily, and supply is extremely tight. In the coming period, the vegetables coming to market will continue to decrease. Currently, efforts are being made from all sides to strive to increase supply.
