I have no impression that the previous session had an Honorary Chairman. If the previous session did not have one, do not add it; please check. If there was one, it can remain as before.

On 3 April 1959, Deng Xiaoping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, wrote to Mao Zedong and others, presenting his views on the opinions raised during the group discussions at the Eighth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee regarding the "Plan for State Organs and Personnel Arrangements (Draft)." In the letter, he stated: "Chairman Mao should still serve as Honorary Chairman of the CPPCC, and this time a re-election is also necessary." Mao Zedong’s annotation was written in response to this opinion.

In December 1954, the First Session of the Second CPPCC National Committee elected Mao Zedong as Honorary Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
In April 1959, the First Session of the Third CPPCC National Committee elected Mao Zedong to continue serving as Honorary Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
