Reply Telegram on the Decision to Establish Diplomatic Relations Between China and the Sudan

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Sudan:

I have the honour to receive Your Excellency’s telegram of November 30, 1958.[1] I am deeply convinced that the recognition of China by the Republic of the Sudan will lead to the further development of friendly relations between the governments and peoples of our two countries. On behalf of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese people, and in my own name, I wish the Republic of the Sudan prosperity and its people happiness, and wish Your Excellency and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Sudan still further success in the cause of safeguarding the interests of the Sudanese people.

I hope that the friendly relations between the peoples of our two countries will be further developed, and on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of the Sudan, the Sudanese Government and people, I wish Your Excellency and the Chinese people happiness, prosperity and eternal peace.”
