Brother Yuju:
As per your verbal request, I have written the name of Xiangtan University on two sheets of paper. Please forward them for selection—thank you!
I have also penned a separate letter to Dongshan School; would you be so kind as to deliver that as well?

[1] Mao Yuju was Mao Zedong’s elder cousin and his private tutor during his childhood. At the time, he was working as a receptionist at Mao Zedong’s former residence.
In June 1958, acting on Mao Zedong’s wish to establish a university in his hometown, Xiangtan University was founded. On September 10 of the same year, at the request of Mao Yuju, Mao Zedong personally inscribed the university’s name.
