Letter to Zhou Gucheng [1]
(July 28, 1958)

Brother Gucheng:

I have received both of your enthusiastic letters, thank you very much!

Your great work [2] is published, it can be read quickly. I
have not done much research on logic, and dare not make any comments;
the issue is still under debate [3],
it seems inappropriate for me to insert a hand.
I do not intend to comply with the request to write a preface, can I be forgiven? Respectfully replying.

With best wishes for your teaching and peace!

Mao Zedong
