To Comrade Münnich Ferenc, Premier of the Hungarian People's Republic Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Government:

On the occasion of the thirteenth anniversary of the liberation of Hungary, we, on behalf of the Government of the People's Republic of China, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Chinese people, extend our heartfelt and warm congratulations to you, and through you to the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Government of the Hungarian People's Republic, the Central Committee of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party, and the Hungarian people.

Over the past year, under the leadership of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party and the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Government, the Hungarian people have achieved great successes in the struggle to consolidate the Hungarian People's Republic, and at the same time have made important contributions to strengthening the unity of the socialist camp headed by the Soviet Union and safeguarding peace in Europe and the world. The Chinese people feel elated and inspired by these achievements of the fraternal Hungarian people. We wish that the eternal friendship and fraternal cooperation between the peoples of China and Hungary will be further consolidated and developed.
