Notice Regarding the Convening of the Nanning Conference [1] (January 1958)  Wu Lengxi, Premier, Shaoqi, Li Fuchun, Bo Yibo, Huang Jing, Wang Heshou, Li Xiannian, Chen Yun, Deng Xiaoping, Peng Zhen, Qiaomu, Chen Boda, Tian Jiaying, Ouyang Qin, Liu Ren, Zhang Desheng, Li Jingquan, Pan Fusheng, Wang Renzhong, Yang Shangkui, Tao Zhu, Zhou Xiaozhou (already arrived), Shi Xiangsheng, Liu Jianxun, Wei Guoqing [2], Mao Zedong— a total of 26 or 27 people— are expected to arrive on the 11th and 12th. The conference will be held in Nanning for ten days and is scheduled to conclude on the 20th (with two to three days of rest in between, making the actual meeting last seven to eight days). Tan Zhenlin [3] will oversee central affairs, while the Supreme Commander [4] will serve as the overall leader. Chen Yi [5] will be responsible for the State Council.

Li Fuchun was at the time a member of the CPC Central Political Bureau, vice premier of the State Council, and director of the State Planning Commission. Bo Yibo was a candidate member of the CPC Central Political Bureau, vice premier of the State Council, and director of the State Economic Commission. Huang Jing served as director of the State Technical Commission and minister of the First Ministry of Machine-Building Industry. Wang Heshou was director of the State Construction Commission and minister of the Metallurgical Industry. Li Xiannian was a member of the CPC Central Political Bureau, vice premier of the State Council, and minister of Finance. Peng Zhen was a secretary of the CPC Central Secretariat and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Qiaomu refers to Hu Qiaomu, who was a candidate secretary of the CPC Central Secretariat. Chen Boda was a candidate member of the CPC Central Political Bureau and director of the Central Policy Research Office. Tian Jiaying was deputy director of the Central Policy Research Office. Ouyang Qin was first secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee. Liu Ren was second secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee. Zhang Desheng was first secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee. Li Jingquan was first secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee. Pan Fusheng was first secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee. Wang Renzhong was first secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee. Yang Shangkui was first secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee. Tao Zhu was first secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee. Zhou Xiaozhou was first secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. Shi Xiangsheng was secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee. Liu Jianxun was first secretary of the CPC Guangxi Provincial Committee. Wei Guoqing was secretary of the CPC Guangxi Provincial Committee.
