Having turned around, we re-entered the seven-greater carriage;121
Looking back, the mountain peaks fade into the misty wilderness.
We had just passed the Forty-Eight Hairpin Turns,[3]
When, like the wind, we had already reached Qiantang.[4]

Mount Moganshan is located in the northwest of Deqing County, Zhejiang Province. Legend has it that during the Spring and Autumn period, the State of Wu cast the two swords “Moxie” and “Ganjiang” here, hence the name. It is a renowned summer resort and health retreat in northern Zhejiang.

The “seven-greater carriage” refers to the sleeping car used by Mao Zedong, which could accommodate seven people.
