Letter to the Panchen Erdeni[1]

(November 24, 1955)

Dear Panchen Erdeni,

I have received your letter of August 13, 1955, and I am very grateful!

I am very pleased to hear that progress has been made in your work there. I hope that unity between you and the Lhasa authorities will grow and be consolidated with each passing day, and that the whole of Tibet will prosper year by year. This is my reply.

With best wishes for your health!

Mao Zedong
