Telegram on the Tenth Anniversary of the Founding of the Republic

To Comrade Josip Broz Tito, President of the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the League of Communists;
To Comrade Moša Pijade, President of the Federal National Assembly of the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia;
To Comrade Koča Popović, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia:

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia, on behalf of the Government and the people of the People’s Republic of China, we extend our warmest congratulations to you and, through you, to the heroic Yugoslav people.

The peoples of China and Yugoslavia have long enjoyed a profound friendship, forged in their respective struggles for national independence and liberation. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, our friendly cooperation has made considerable progress. We are confident that this friendly cooperation will continue to be strengthened and developed. We wish the Yugoslav people further success in their endeavors to build socialism and safeguard world peace.
