Refers to the directive issued by the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on June 30, 1955, regarding the rectification of mutual-benefit policies in agricultural producers’ cooperatives, addressed to subordinate bodies and reported to the Central Committee and the Shanghai Bureau. The directive stated that after the consolidation of agricultural producers’ cooperatives throughout the province, the key to future consolidation lay in resolutely implementing the various specific policies of the Central Committee and the Provincial Committee concerning the principle of mutual benefit within cooperatives, and in overcoming the current deviations within cooperatives that violated the principle and policies of mutual benefit. To this end, the Provincial Committee required all prefectural and county committees to earnestly and seriously conduct detailed inspections and discussions on the implementation of the Party’s rural class policy and the mutual-benefit policies of agricultural cooperatives in their respective areas, and to submit written reports on the results of the inspections and discussions, as well as plans for implementing mutual-benefit policies, to the Provincial Committee.
