Telegram Congratulating Bulgaria on the Tenth Anniversary of Its Liberation (September 7, 1954) Comrade Georgi Damyanov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Assembly of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria: On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Bulgaria’s liberation, I wish to extend, through you, my heartfelt and warmest congratulations to the Bulgarian people and government.
Over the past decade, under the leadership of the Bulgarian Communist Party and following the teachings of Comrade Dimitrov, the Bulgarian people have consolidated the system of people’s democracy and achieved brilliant successes in the socialist construction of their country.
This not only inspires the Chinese people, who are likewise engaged in socialist construction, but also strengthens the world’s forces for peace and democracy led by the Soviet Union.
I wish the Bulgarian people new and greater victories in their struggle to build socialism and safeguard world peace.
