Telegram Congratulating Romania on the Tenth Anniversary of Its Liberation (August 21, 1954)  Comrade Groza, Chairman of the Presidium of the Great National Assembly of the People’s Republic of Romania:  On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Romania’s liberation, on behalf of the Government and the people of the People’s Republic of China, and in my own name, I extend to the Romanian people and to you our heartfelt congratulations.  Over the past decade, under the leadership of the Romanian Workers’ Party, the Romanian people have achieved splendid successes in consolidating the people’s democratic regime and in building socialism. These achievements have brought the Romanian people an ever more prosperous and happy life, and have strengthened the forces of world peace and democracy headed by the Soviet Union.  The Chinese people sincerely wish the Romanian people even greater successes in their endeavors to build socialism and to safeguard world peace.
