This comment was written on a telegram sent by the South China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee to the Central Committee on August 4, 1954.
The telegram stated that a delegate to the Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress had proposed that the National People’s Congress bestow upon Chairman Mao the highest honor medal. It asked for urgent instructions on whether the congress could adopt this proposal and submit it to the National People’s Congress.
