The remainder is approved.
Mao Zedong, March 12.
Printed from the manuscript.
Notes [1] Deng Xiaoping was then Vice Premier of the Government Administration Council. [2] Refers to the report submitted to the Central Committee on March 1, 1954, by Deng Xiaoping, Chen Yi (Second Secretary of the East China Bureau), and Tan Zhenlin (Acting Secretary of the East China Bureau) concerning the situation at the symposium on the Rao Shushi question.
The symposium further exposed and verified various facts demonstrating Rao Shushi’s erroneous activities—carried out during and around the time of the 1953 National Financial and Economic Conference and the National Organizational Work Conference—to undermine Party unity and plot to split the Party.
