Reply Given Upon Accepting the Letters of Credence from Mr. Ochirbat, Ambassador of Mongolia to the People’s Republic of China (July 2, 1953) Comrade Ambassador: It gives me great pleasure to accept the letters of credence you have presented on behalf of the Presidium of the Great People’s Khural of the Mongolian People’s Republic, and I express my sincere gratitude for your congratulations. Over the past three years and more, the friendly cooperative relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Mongolian People’s Republic have been greatly developed and consolidated. The Agreement on Economic and Cultural Cooperation signed last year by the governments of our two countries has not only further strengthened these friendly ties but has also done much to promote the friendship and well-being of our two peoples. The Mongolian people have already achieved tremendous successes in their construction endeavors. These achievements have always been deeply cherished and warmly commended by the Chinese people. I am firmly convinced that the ever-tightening solidarity between the peoples of China and Mongolia will inevitably reinforce our capacity to safeguard peace in the Far East and throughout the world, and will further consolidate the world camp of peace, democracy, and socialism, with the great Soviet Union at its head. Comrade Ambassador, it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to your post as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Mongolian People’s Republic to the People’s Republic of China. In your efforts to strengthen the friendly cooperation between China and Mongolia, you may count on my full support and that of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
I wish you every success in your work. Printed in the People’s Daily, July 3, 1953.
